Brabus 900 Crawler is a ridiculous AMG G63 buggy with 888 horsepower
Known for its professional engine and body tuning from Mercedes-Benz, Brabus has surprised yet again with one of its wildest creations yet. We are talking about a hardcore buggy with a simple name Brabus 900 Crawler, made on the basis of the G-class.

The unique development has a color worse than that of the related Maybach G650 Landaulet and G63 6x6 Mercedes, but at the same time it is deprived of the ability to legally travel on public roads. This is due to a number of non-standard solutions for the industry.

The buggy received a huge ground clearance of 530 mm, which is almost twice as much as that of the notorious Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler cars. Brabus engineers did not stop at one clearance and installed portal axles: they increase the already high cross-country ability.

The completely redesigned suspension received height-adjustable struts with a spring travel of 160 mm. Due to this, the buggy easily overcomes even extremely rugged terrain. Tires 40x13,50 are on forged R20 rims. Disc brakes with a diameter of 400 mm are installed at the front, slightly smaller at the rear, 370 mm. Such gigantic brakes guarantee safety.

The volume of the standard engine has been increased to 4,5 liters. Under the hood is a V8 engine with two turbines. It develops 888 hp. With. power at 6200 rpm. Its torque is staggering - as much as 1250 Nm at 2900 rpm. However, the actual engine performance is somewhat lower, as it is electronically limited to 1050 Nm for the safety of the 9-speed automatic transmission.

Although the Brabus 900 Crawler is designed for rough terrain and off-road, it can also get hot on a straight and level road. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 3,4 seconds. Due to the off-road tires on the rims, the top speed is limited to 160 km/h.

The engineers lightened the car considerably by removing a few of the original body panels and replacing the rest with carbon parts. Despite the work done, the mass of the buggy is still large - 2065 kg. As a result of all the lightening operations, the car “threw off” about 420 kg.

In terms of pricing, the Brabus 900 Crawler costs €749 excluding VAT. In dollars, its price at the current rate is about 000 USD. In addition to the car, the buyer receives four carbon helmets and an intercom system, indispensable during extreme driving. Brabus will produce 793 of these buggies, with 000 of them going to customers as early as 15.
