If you ask the youth of the 70s and 80s what they associate their youth with, then now gray-haired or bald guys will answer about the same thing. In one of the first places they will put the legendary JAWA. Of course, depending on the period and area where these men grew up, these will be different models of Czechoslovak motorcycles. But one thing is clear: their popularity in the vast country was simply fantastic.
I also remember my first acquaintance with such an apparatus. It was the so-called "plastic" - the 638th model. I was not even 16 then, so the motorcycle was not mine, but an older guy who had recently returned from Afghanistan (unfortunately, he died a little later in Murmansk from abuse). He was riding a brand new motorcycle and decided to give me a ride. When I saw "100" on the speedometer over the driver's shoulder, I was very surprised. Those who have ridden JAWA know its insidiousness - high speed is not felt at all.
Almost three and a half decades have passed since then. After the collapse of the USSR, Czech motorcycles were no longer exported to our country, and we switched to "Japanese" or "Chinese". You probably think that in the country of beer and hockey they no longer produce motorcycle equipment? This is not so, and to make sure of this, watch this video from the BIBIP channel to the end.
