The fundamental design of motorcycles has remained virtually unchanged for many decades. All the same 2 wheels (well, plus a stroller, sometimes), the usual silhouette and internal combustion engine. It seems to be the same way half a century ago. Unless the design has become more pleasing to the eye and two-stroke engines have been replaced by more economical and efficient 4-stroke engines. The thing is that there are not so many exceptional fans of two-wheeled vehicles. Most motorcycle owners own one or more vehicles. A two-wheeled friend for them is just a hobby or entertainment for the soul. Perhaps this is the main reason for the slow evolution of motorcycle technology.
Still, it cannot be said that there are absolutely no enthusiasts who dream of somehow expressing themselves by remaking their bike into something completely unthinkable. For example, there have already been attempts to create motorcycles with diesel or gas engines. There is also an unusual motorcycle with a jet engine that develops exorbitant speed. Although, however, in appearance it is not much like a classic motorcycle.
But if we talk about more practical innovations, then one craftsman installed front-wheel drive on his Ural. He spoke about the benefits that he received from such know-how. You can watch his interview on the Vetrov Workshop channel. Happy viewing everyone!
