KMZ M-72 - Soviet heavy motorcycle for the motorcade of the first persons of the state
The Soviet Union produced a huge number of motorcycles, and they were clearly divided into three classes. Minsk and Voskhod belonged to the light ones, IZH to the medium ones, Ural and Dnepr to the heavy ones. The latter were famous for being four-stroke, plus they were always sold to the population with wheelchairs.

By the way, with the sale to ordinary Soviet citizens, everything was not so simple. Then the motorcycles were still called M-72 and were supplied only to the army, and then the buyers were forced to register the “iron horses” with the military registration and enlistment office - military equipment, after all! All bikes are exclusively with sidecars, this was the concept of the new cart - to install a machine gun. But by special order, single motorcycles were also produced in small batches. They were made exclusively for special services. Stationary weapons were not supposed to be there, but the speed was increased from 80 to 105 km/h.

Today you will see the rarest motorcycle for a motorcade - KMZ M-72, produced at the Kiev plant. It was found by the author of the channel "Ivan Zenkevich PRO Cars" in perfect condition. In the video you will learn the history of this technique, the features of its design. And then Ivan Zenkevich will start a rarity with half a turn and run it down the street, to the envy of all lovers of the opposition.
