SMZ S3A - a car with a motorcycle engine and manual control
Many people remember the catchphrase that sounded in the film "Operation" Y "and other adventures of Shurik" and became winged: "Where is this damn disabled person?". The answer was no less brilliant: “Don't make noise! I'm disabled!". After this phrase, the SMZ C3A car was popularly called "Morgunovka", by the name of the brutal character in Gaidai's comedy. So the "disabled woman" acquired her own nickname. And the predecessor of this car - a three-wheeled motorized carriage, was no less aptly called "Cyclops" - for the only headlight that looked like the eye of a mythical character.

From the video you will learn the design features of the two-seat SMZ C3A, produced at the Serpukhov Motorcycle Plant from 1958 to 1970. The author of the Ivan Zenkevich PRO Cars channel once again managed to find rare Soviet-made equipment. In the video you will see how “convenient” it was for the participants of the Great Patriotic War to move around on the SMZ C3A. Although, if you look at it, in those years in the Soviet Union, any car was considered a luxury, and “disabled people” were generally issued free of charge.

You can be 100% sure that if the Serpukhov Motorcycle Plant produced the same motorized wheelchairs for ordinary citizens, they would also be sold out. Although the machine does not differ in size and capacity, it is still with a roof over its head. And this means - much better than a motorcycle, according to Soviet drivers.
