Jetson One - Unique flying bikes already sold out until 2023
The Swedes love to make reliable equipment, they are well versed in aircraft. Suffice it to recall Saab, which still produces fighters, and Carlson, who lived on the roof.

Swedish men of all ages also love radio-controlled drones. Apparently, the combination of all these circumstances served as an incentive for the creation of the Jetson One flying bike.

The guys from the Jetson company did not invent anything new, but they were able to combine a large drone with a helicopter and a motorcycle, having received a technique that is unique in its kind, accessible to everyone.

It was enough to assemble one aircraft and post an advertising video on the Internet, as soon as many people appeared who wanted to buy a unique bike.

Jetson's production capacity so far allows only about 15 Jetson Ones per year to be assembled. Soberly assessing their strength, the inventors said that they are taking orders for 18 air bikes until the end of 2022.

Those wishing to buy unique equipment were found in a couple of days - first 15 Jetson Ones were booked, then the remaining three were ordered.

Model construction

The first feature of the aircraft is its environmental friendliness, just in the spirit of the Swedes, who massively refuse gasoline and diesel cars. Jetson One runs entirely on electric propulsion - its 8 motors, one for each propeller, or two for the "beam" of the frame, produce 88kW of power. In terms of the usual horsepower, this is about 118 hp. With.

The weight of the "space glider", as the manufacturer calls it, is 40 kg without batteries. It was possible to achieve such parameters through the use of an aluminum frame.

Installing batteries more than doubles the weight - up to 90 kg. What is the maximum weight that Jetson One can carry, the manufacturer did not say. Most likely, the glider will lift a person up to 120 kg.

In this case, the recommended weight of the owner should be up to 85 kg. It is not mentioned directly anywhere, otherwise they will drag you through the courts, but it is precisely about such parameters that the instruction manual says. “The flight time with a pilot weighing 85 kg is 20 minutes” - this is exactly what the technical documentation says.

By the way, the air bike is not an entertainment structure at all, it is able to move the pilot at a speed of 102 km/h. The Swedes said that they could easily increase these parameters now, but deliberately installed an electronic limiter.

Jetson One is easy to disassemble and assemble. When folded, the device has a maximum width of 900 mm on one side. This allows you to easily transport it in the trunk of a mid-size car. The dimensions of the glider ready for flight are 2845 x 2400 x 1030 mm.

There are no places for luggage, even for a small bag or backpack. The manufacturer's website states that a private pilot's license is required to operate the unique technique.

The 50 kg battery is dismantled and can be transported separately. The average physically developed man can easily put a glider and a lithium-ion battery in the trunk. Having left the city, the owner will easily assemble the Jetson One.

The flying bike is controlled by two sensitive joysticks. The first is responsible only for the operation of engines and speed. The second is for control. It is not difficult to learn how to fly, it is enough to practice several charging cycles (20 minutes each).

Security level

The guys from the Jetson company assure that their offspring meets all safety requirements. If the pilot gets confused, or he becomes ill, he will give up control, the air bike will hover in the air, and then smoothly fall to the ground on its own.

In the event of failure of one of the engines, Jetson One will be able to continue the flight and land in normal mode without any problems.
To control this type of aircraft (in fact, it is an advanced drone), one flight controller is enough. To be on the safe side, manufacturers installed three more backup devices on board to control the flight if the main one fails for some reason.

In addition, the aircraft is equipped with a full range of sensors to determine:

  • ? Heights
  • ? obstacles
  • ? terrain

If everything is clear with the first two types of sensors, then with the third it is not entirely clear. Most likely, these are GPS transmitters capable of signaling the location of a flying bike.

About which manufacturer of the lithium-ion battery, the creators do not report. This is a trade secret, but at the same time they claim that it is not China. The battery is completely similar to those used on racing electric cars. We must pay tribute - this is a level higher than Tesla's.

For those who are still afraid to fly on an air bike, there is one more piece of news - the device comes with a modern parachute with a quick deployment function. Although, if you look, while it is unlikely to be needed - the flight altitude on the demo video is no more than 3-5 meters. And if the pilot's apparatus falls, the cage frame made of aircraft-grade aluminum will completely protect.

Package contents, price and pre-order

Jetson One will be sold in only one version. Comes with:

  • ? Disassembled glider
  • ? Li-ion battery
  • ? Parachute with quick deployment function
  • ? Technical documentation
  • ? User manual

The price for finished devices is already known - it will be 92 US dollars, no more, no less. To order the Jetson One, all buyers made a $000 advance payment to the manufacturer's account. It is promised that customers will receive flying bikes before the end of 22.
It turns out that those who dream of flying like in science fiction films are not stopped by the high price of the device and prepayment.

One gets the feeling that the manufacturer himself did not expect high demand for the Jetson One. The device is not difficult to manufacture,
and only by increasing the staff, already in the next year, 2022, it will be possible to collect at least twice as many as 18 copies.

And what about competitors?

As you know, competitors never sleep, and it is worth releasing something expensive and in demand, as clones immediately appear. By the way, many are already accusing Jetson of plagiarism, since the idea of a flying machine in the form of a large drone with a pilot on board is far from new.

As a vivid example, we can recall the auto giant from Japan, Toyota. In 2020, engineers demonstrated their aircraft, which at the same time looks like a drone and a private single-seat aircraft.

Toyota representatives during the demonstration said they plan to put the airframe into mass production, but they will not be sold to private individuals. A holy place is never empty, and Jetson One is a clear confirmation of this.

The next stage in the development of flying bikes is the appearance of such devices from manufacturers from the Middle Kingdom. The Chinese have long learned to make radio-controlled drones, including heavy ones used for agricultural work (and there are also military developments). Electric vehicles with powerful batteries are also actively produced in the country.

The only thing left to do is to combine the batteries used in electric cars with heavy drones, and you can mass-sell flying bikes. Serial production is cheaper, so Chinese devices will cost an order of magnitude more affordable.

But now, today, Jetson One is number one. This model alone is the only low-volume flying bike to hit retail this year.
