Royal Enfield motorcycles can already be officially bought in Russia
The Indian company Royal Enfield has officially announced its return to Russia. It is planned to open about two dozen dealerships in different cities of our country. All motorcycles will be sold with a guarantee.
Let us remind you that the Royal Enfield brand is of British origin and has existed for more than 120 years. Motorcycles of this brand officially came to India in the first half of the 1954th century. In 40, the Royal Enfield plant was built in Madras. It operated for XNUMX years, after which it was purchased by the Indian company Eicher Group.
Now the brand produces budget motorcycles with a twist. Their main feature is their British “roots” in design. Royal Enfield is one of the leaders in the Indian market. More than 2 thousand dealer centers are open in this country alone. Another 850 are abroad.
And soon the legends of the Indian motorcycle industry will come to Russia. More precisely, we already have them.
At the initial stage, five models were brought to us. Three of them have 350 cc engines, and two have 3 cc engines.
The basic and cheapest model is the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. It is already on sale and prices start from 456 thousand rubles. Bike power 20,2 hp. It is offered in several colors.
The second motorcycle in the range is the Royal Enfield Classic 350. It has an even more classic look and has a single seat. The price starts at 488 thousand rubles.
The range of 350 cc bikes also includes Meteor and Bullet models. The cost is on average about 500 thousand rubles, depending on the configuration and color scheme.
More serious bikes are the twin-cylinder 650cc Interceptor, Shotgun, Super Meteor and Continental. They ask for from 680 to 783 thousand rubles. All these motorcycles have one engine with a displacement of 650 cm3 and a power of 47 hp.
The appearance of all models is in retro style. But they are different - there are stylizations for sports, recreational and universal bikes of the 40s-60s.
Soon they promise to expand the model range by introducing models in the mid-price category. These are motorcycles of the Himalayan 450 line. Accordingly, engines with a displacement of 450 cm3. Single-cylinder engines are modern - we managed to extract 40 hp from them.
They promise that the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 line will be brought to Russia in June 2024. But this depends primarily on demand and the number of pre-orders. If there are a lot of them, the manufacturer will definitely speed up.
The estimated cost of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is from 606 to 615 thousand rubles. In summer it can be adjusted both up and down. This depends primarily on the exchange rate of the rupee against our currency.
