The reserved seat of the future - the concept of a capsule car from Russian Railways

Those who traveled on trains abroad could see a new generation of reserved seats. Russian Railways, in cooperation with a well-known design studio, put on display their concept of a carriage, which is not inferior to the best world analogues of the same class in terms of comfort.

Judge for yourself - the layout of the main compartment has changed, the shelves are placed along in a checkerboard pattern. This made it possible to make niches for the legs, thanks to which a person of average height can sleep comfortably with his legs stretched out. And in the next compartment, this ledge is a small tabletop.
There are external and internal shelves, so you can sit away from the aisle, which has become wider. The car is increased by 28 cm in width and 73 cm in length in comparison with the standard ones.

These are just a few of the cool features! Each compartment has an ergonomic backrest, and the width of the shelf is enough even to sit with a child. Two lighting modes, a USB connector and a full-fledged socket will make your journey even more comfortable. You can close yourself from strangers with a curtain, which was not enough for many.
