Fiat Panda will become the cheapest electric car - so say the developers

Representatives of the Stellantis company, which is part of the Fiat concern, announced that in the spring of 2022 they will present the most affordable electric car in the world. It will be much cheaper than the 500e model, which belongs to the same class and has been sold for several years.


According to Oliver François, who manages the company, the intention of the concern is to give a new impetus to the development of electric transport. An affordable car will allow more people to join this area, which will positively affect the industry.

The concept of the novelty was presented back in 2019, outwardly it has not changed, the difference is in the approach to production. The process is simplified and unified, the design turned out to be spartan, but at the same time it is functional and modern.

The design will be the same, but due to a special program, which the developers called "4U", you can change the color of the body, roof, wheels and bumpers. There will be 4 options to choose from, making changes will take a minimum of time.



In the cabin, almost all the elements in it are interchangeable. They are removed and connected easily and quickly, which allows each customer to choose the configuration. This applies to tidy, glove compartments, side pockets, seats.

Near the dashboard is a bracket to which you can connect a smartphone or tablet. This replaces the expensive stereo system and mid-screen that has become traditional in cars. You can use different types of mobile devices, which brings the capabilities of the car to a new level.



If the concept is successful, the company's management is confident that it will become a new trend in the coming years. After all, no software shell is required; smartphone or tablet applications are used.

As for quality, the developers said that the low cost car will not be achieved by saving on materials and assembly. Everything corresponds to the level of other models from Fiat.



Of course, for the starting price, the version in the minimum configuration will be sold, but this is a functional and practical car. And the fact that it can be understaffed at any time will provide freedom of action and allow you to correctly distribute costs.
