The most popular trucks in the USSR were GAZ-53 and ZIL-130. Externally, the cars are similar, so children and women often could not tell them apart. They really have the same design, and the blue cabin with white accents confuses people who are not very tech-savvy. But the drivers knew that the ZIL-130 and GAZ-53 were different cars. The first is much more powerful, but “gluttonous”. The second one is more economical. And there was also the almost equally popular GAZ-52. The engine there is simpler - a six-cylinder. By the way, it was the latest model of the Gorky plant that was valued in rural areas. The engine of this car was distinguished by traction at low speeds.
