Suspension on chains - will maneuverability be better?

Suspension on chains - will maneuverability be better?
Improving a car is an endless process. However, first there are always experiments to understand whether the designer’s technical intent is moving in the right direction. Today on the Garage 54 channel they decided to “modernize” the rear chassis by hanging it on a chain. Yes, yes, the same ones on which “evil dogs” sit. And the prototype for the future design was a strange chair given to the author of the video. Let's get to work, and first of all we remove the standard rods, then we weld additional fasteners in the form of profiles. And now everything is ready: the bridge hangs on chains, which can be seen by pulling the wheels of a car on a lift.

During the inspection, we make some improvements to reduce the expected “bumpiness” of the rear of the car. All that remains is to start testing to understand whether the design is functional or not. We lower the car and it drives successfully for the first few meters, but then a grinding noise appears: it hits something somewhere. The “test driver” notes the stiffness of the suspension: there are no shock absorbers! Nevertheless, the car moves and maneuvers. A camera suspended from below shows how the chains work. The tests continue: you will find out what happened next in the video!
