Suzuki S-Cross will be sold in Russia in 2022

Yuta Tahakashi, head of Suzuki Motor Rus, at a press conference dedicated to summing up the results of 2021, spoke about the appearance of new items on the domestic market. It will be the compact crossover Suzuki S-Cross, presented at the end of 2021.


In the previous generation, the model was called the Suzuki SX4. It has undergone many changes, which made it possible to eliminate minor flaws, improve dynamic performance and increase driving safety.

The car has already begun to be assembled at the Magyar Suzuki Corporation plant, which is located in Hungary. From there, cars are delivered not only to the European market, but also to Asia, Oceania and Latin America. The start date of sales in Russia was not indicated, but it was specified that it should be expected in the second half of the year.



In the Russian Federation, the car will be supplied with only one version of the engine - a 1.4 DITC turbocharged gasoline unit from the Boosterjet series. A hybrid option in our market is not provided according to the plan.

The proven AllGrip Select system with a variety of modes, from “sport” to “snow”, will be responsible for all-wheel drive. The set of safety modules is extensive - from all-round visibility and monitoring of cross traffic to the control of being in the lane, automatic braking, adaptive cruise and much more.



The biggest changes have touched the front end, it has become more modern and aggressive. LED optics and a stylish radiator grill make the car recognizable. The rear part has also changed, many analysts say that it resembles the new Mitsubishi models.

The salon has undergone changes, but is made in the traditional style for this automaker. A massive 9-inch multimedia display appeared in the middle, the system supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Comfortable seats in the basic version will be sheathed in fabric, and in top trim levels - in leather.



The standard trunk volume is 430 liters, if you fold the rear seats, the usable space increases to 1230 liters. In general, the car seems more massive than its predecessor, but remains the same in size.

Representatives of the company promised to announce the exact dates for the start of sales before the end of spring. At the same time, the estimated cost has not yet been announced. As for forecasts, on a global scale, the corporation expects that the model will be in demand and sales will amount to 18-19% of the total number of cars.
