The development team at CycleBoard has unveiled their new concept, which is quite different from anything you've seen before. Externally, the model looks like a massive three-wheeled electric scooter, but you need to control it like a skateboard - due to the tilt of the body.


In essence, this is a daily means of transportation for those who like to skateboard. It is worth paying attention to the specifics of the technique - the steering wheel does not turn, but is needed for the convenience of riding and braking. You will have to practice for some time to master the logic TransportIn fact, everything happens on an instinctive level, so if there is no practice of riding a skateboard, certain problems may arise.

A 1800 W motor-reducer is installed in the rear wheel hub, the maximum speed is 43 km per hour. The battery capacity is 1152 Wh, which provides a range of more than 60 km, the exact figure depends on the speed of driving and the weight of the person.

The CycleBoard Rover is foldable, but it is hard to call it a mobile vehicle that can be transported on the subway or the bus, difficult. Only a physically fit man can carry 37 kg. The folded version is convenient to put in the trunk of a car, most likely this method of transportation was meant by the developers.

The big plus is the suspension. It is moderately rigid, perfectly compensates for small irregularities. But significant level differences “break through” the depreciation system. The front wheels are 10x3 inches, the rear tire has the same diameter, but slightly wider. The universal tread allows you to move normally on all types of road surfaces.

The rear wheel has a disc brake with a hydraulic caliper. Regenerative braking is also used, but even this is not enough. When decelerating hard, the weight is shifted to the front axle, so efficiency is reduced and this must be taken into account when driving.

A special system eliminates spontaneous folding of the steering wheel when moving. The LCD display shows the speed and charge level, there are five power modes, you can choose the best one for driving conditions and driver skill. An LED taillight is also included as standard.

The developers call this design a hang glider, at a price of over $ 2000 it is difficult to expect that it will become widespread and popular. But the model will conquer its segment of customers.
