IL-114-300 - "I want to fly"

Local Russian airlines should develop - this has long been clear. But there is no mass production of such in the country aircraft. There was a time when airlines relied entirely on supplies from abroad. Carriers should be blamed for the decline of the industry. They did not buy Russian models. Accordingly, design bureaus could not develop them. Why spend money if the planes will be unclaimed? Although, airlines can be understood. They do not want to take risks, to get involved with new models. And they need to work, they have to update their fleets. And not wait until a Russian manufacturer deigns to offer a batch of planes.

Even in the Soviet Union, a new model was being prepared to replace the An-24 - it was the Il-114. It was planned that the start of operation will be in 1991. It’s just that “perestroika” spoiled everything, and then the USSR collapsed. Accordingly, it was not up to the planes. However, the IL-114 project was not abandoned. That's just the engines for advanced development could not be picked up. TV7-117S, for example, had a resource of only 800 hours. The plane was gradually finalized, only it was bought badly. Now the Il-114-300 model is relevant, but they cannot find a competitive engine for it either. Of course, the state supports the project, but potential buyers are not very interested in it. What fate awaits the IL-114-300, the author of the SkyShips channel will tell.
What do you think, will the IL-114-300 become large-scale?
