Car on square wheels: will it go or not?

Square wheels have one peculiarity: they don’t spin, but transport is going. And this is quite possible: in one of the popular videos they showed bike, moving on this principle. So why not apply it to carThe guys from the channel "Garage 54" took on the task of implementing the "technical idea".

To bring the idea to life, they took and cut along an ordinary car tire. Then a square frame from a profile pipe was welded for the future wheel. They tried on a cut tire on him. Now you need timing chains or the like, plus four bushings. It turned out quite a square wheel. Along its perimeter, we stretch the chain onto six rollers located in the corners and in the lower part. And already on it we put on strips of durable rubber cut out of a tire (but it will also work from a conveyor belt). Thought works!

It remains to weld a round standard car disk inside the square frame. We put the wheel on a regular VAZ-2106, on the front axle. And in order to shock casual eyewitnesses, we cover the entire structure with a shield. We drive the car with square wheels to the streets and start testing. Will it check or not?
