Jawa motorcycles - from the first model to modern bikes

Motorcycles Jawa brand were the most desirable in the USSR. Although outwardly the later models are similar to the Izh Jupiter 5, they were distinguished by their build quality and reliability. Few people know this, but during their cooperation with the USSR, the Czechs supplied more than 1,5 million Jawa motorcycles. And there were also related CZ. Unfortunately, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Jawa was no longer officially supplied to Russia. But the brand still makes modern four-stroke bikes. Let them be produced in India for the local market, but they can also be purchased in our country. By the way, for those who like to remember their youth, almost the same two-stroke model was recently offered. Now it is not on sale - maybe the sanctions are to blame or there is no demand.

Today, the author of the Mysportbike channel suggests recalling all Jawa motorcycles since the brand's inception. The first is 500 OHV Rumpal. The model is not of its own design. In 1929, the Czechs bought a license from the Germans for the Wanderer K500 and faithfully copied it. Sales, by the way, then turned out to be a failure - the model was too expensive.
