Cars GAZ Volga was a symbol of prosperity and success in the Soviet Union for several decades. The thing is that these cars were not sold freely. Only the most outstanding Soviet citizens who had proven their usefulness could buy one. Although, some were lucky - they won Volgas in Sportloto. And residents of the Caucasus managed to buy cars from happy owners, although this happened rarely. Of course, they had to overpay two or even three times more. But a good harvest of tangerines or lemons in the garden could compensate for these costs in a year.

The most beautiful Volga is, of course, the GAZ-21. The model, by the way, was produced only in the sedan. The rarest station wagons even in the USSR had a different index. They were called GAZ-22 and were intended, as a rule, for specialized government agencies. The model, of course, is beautiful, but very unhurried by modern standards.
