Miniature cars: funny, but sometimes stylish

When we see small cars that look like toys, sometimes this causes a condescending smile. But entire teams of engineers from the most eminent automakers worked on such machines. And not in vain! Equipment of this kind has always been and is in demand: otherwise it would not be produced. Even a simple listing of manufacturers of miniature cars already says something: BMW (Isetta), Heinkel, Nissan, American, British, Irish and even Argentinean firms - mini-car fever has affected many countries.

Compact cars were very different: four- and three-wheeled, with a front-opening door and a bicycle handlebar. It may seem strange, but some models of the past began to be produced today! An example is a Peel P50 car for one person, which in the original did not even have a reversal mechanism (reverse speed). If it was necessary to get out of the dead end, the driver got out of the car and put it as it should be manually.

Today, electric versions of these cars are being made with might and main, in comparison with which Daewoo Matiz looks like a giant.
