The press service of the German auto giant reported that the company's management plans to release special versions of two popular Volkswagen models - Tuareg and Taos. At the moment, work is in its initial stages, but it is expected that they will take from six months to 9 months, so both new items will debut next year.


At the same time, there is no exact data yet, this is the first announcement, which is designed to increase the interest of brand fans and attract new customers. Usually, improvements relate to power units - charged cars are valued in Russia, as well as interior and security systems in the winter, since conditions in the cold season are very different from European ones.

The top-of-the-line Volkswagen Touareg is sold in the country with a single engine option - a V-shaped six-cylinder turbodiesel and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Also used is the 4Motion all-wheel drive system, which provides increased cross-country performance and adapts to changing road conditions. Today, two configuration options are available to customers - “Business”, which will cost from 5,55 million and “Exclusive”, its price starts from 5,79 million rubles. The most obvious solution, according to experts, is the appearance of a charged gasoline version, especially since there is a demand for such an option. Many diesel customers would prefer petrol if available.



As for the small crossover "Volkswagen Taos", this is a new model on the market, which began to be sold in Russia in August 2021. It is equipped with two types of gasoline engines.
