Approximate prices for the Dacia Bigster crossover have been announced - sales will start in 2022

Dacia officially unveiled its latest crossover called the Bigster a few months ago. Even then it was said that soon he should go into mass production.


Now the technical specifications have finally been declassified car and named the approximate cost. Dacia Bigster, as expected, will become the flagship of the Romanian brand.

The car is based on the CMF-B platform. This is relevant for Russian drivers, because Renault has long announced the upcoming unification of the Lada and Dacia brands. The CMF-B platform will become not only common for them, but also gradually the main one.



From this follows not too good news for fans of Lada Vesta - if this happens, the car will be removed from the assembly line. But, as practice shows, you should not worry. AvtoVAZ does not remove models as long as they make a profit. A striking example is the VAZ-2121, hopelessly outdated at least 30 years ago, but still being produced.

But back to Dacia Bigster. In Russia, this crossover is unlikely to be sold, but it will definitely get there. The fact is that the third generation Lada Niva will be produced on the CMF-B platform and on the Dacia Bigster chassis. This is the same Romanian crossover, but with different nameplates, and possibly a body kit.

Dacia Bigster will be larger than Renault Duster by almost 300 mm - 4 versus 600 mm. There is a chance that there will be modifications in the seven-seat version, although the manufacturer has not yet commented on this. In any case, Dacia Bigster claims to be the most spacious family crossover.

The engines on the Romanian car will be the same as on the Dacia Duster. Perhaps there will be versions with a turbocharged 1-liter engine. An option with a 1,3 turbo engine with a power of 128 hp will definitely become available. With.

The manufacturer has hinted that hybrid versions of the Dacia Bigster will appear in 2023. They will receive a 1,6 atmospheric gasoline engine in combination with an electric motor. The total power of the tandem will be 138 liters. With.

In 2022, they are going to start serial assembly of a hybrid turbocharged engine with a displacement of 1,2 liters, producing 200 hp together with an electric motor. With. Perhaps such a unit will be installed under the hood of the top Dacia Bigster modifications in 2023.



And most importantly - the cost of new items. The exact prices have not yet been named, but in Britain the top-end version of the crossover should be sold for no more than 2 rubles. In Europe, Dacia Bigster will cost about 000 rubles.

Fans of the classic Niva can be comforted by the fact that the Legend version (the same VAZ-2121) is not yet planned to be removed from the assembly line.
