Izh Jupiter-5 with liquid cooling - but they could still produce
Izh motorcycles are still found in Russia and other countries of the former USSR. In the early 90s, they were considered hopelessly outdated and useless, now such a bike attracts attention. The latest models of Izh Planet / Jupiter-5 were produced until 2008. Then the plant decided to abandon the production of two-wheeled vehicles, especially since these are by-products of the enterprise. But the motorcycles remained and are still in service, even if their condition is far from ideal.

Why no one wanted to take Izh and the enterprise went bankrupt is hard to say. There are at least several reasons for this. Firstly, against the background of used Japanese models, the bike looked frankly outdated. Secondly, the company urgently needed a four-stroke engine. Thirdly, and this is probably the main thing, the buyers did not have the money to purchase new motorcycles. By the way, the Izh engineers did not put the four-stroke engine into production because the plant did not have the funds for modernization. I had to modify the two-stroke engine. By the way, the two-cylinder power unit eventually got liquid cooling. Of course, the system was frankly "raw", but small batches of "dropsy" Izh Jupiter-5 were still produced. And the author of the channel "RetroIzh - All about Izhevsk Motorcycles" will tell about this motorcycle.
