The Chinese never cease to amaze, and this time - a flying car. “Another startup without tasks,” you say, and you will be mistaken. All because it is the development of a large company XPENG AEROHT. By the way, not the only one. Some concepts are almost ready for mass production. But let's not get ahead of ourselves and pay attention directly to models from the AEROHT family.
The Chinese are focusing on the X2 aircraft. In the office of the company there is not a model, but a real flying car. It looks, of course, not like any Ford Focus, but something looks like a Tesla. Folding apparatus with a length of 4970 mm and a mass of 680 kg has eight engines and the same number of propellers. The body is assembled from carbon fiber glass, which is the reason for such a low weight. Aircraft-grade aluminum is also used in the construction. Inside, there are two seats and three displays for control and feedback from numerous sensors. Of course, the motors are electric and therefore environmentally friendly. Still the future!
A tour of the XPENG office, coupled with reviews of its most interesting developments, is already on the 808 YouTube channel. The author showed the aircraft inside and out, and even rode one of them while driving. Or at the helm? Everyone will decide for himself, but for now - watch the video.
