The season of recreation on water bodies is coming soon, which means that there will be many boats on the rivers and lakes. Boats are much less common, as they are not cheap. But what if you make a watercraft with your own hands? Moreover, it will not be inferior in appearance to options costing a million or even more, and will not require registration, as it weighs up to 200 kg.

The video describes the process of creating a boat made of polystyrene foam, pasted over with fiberglass. The author emphasizes that this is a very successful design - it is not afraid of water and weighs a little. An inexpensive 8-liter Veterok motor was chosen as the power unit. With. True, it was improved - a custom screw was installed, ignition coils from a scooter, and the engine was also equipped with an electric starter for easy starting. Then it was cleaned and painted to look like new.

From the outside, the surface was coated with Gelcoat, a white epoxy resin, which improved the look and made the boat stronger. Inside, they put two comfortable seats, pasted over the walls with carpet, and laid a rug on the floor. Add to this a real steering wheel with a speedometer and a remote control system and you have a complete boat that you can fish or just ride on fine summer days.
