The Moskvich plant was a legend of the Soviet automobile industry. The enterprise was considered a people's enterprise - it produced simple, but necessary for the country cars. The party elite were not interested in small cars, so ordinary Soviet citizens bought them. At first there were no lines – just come to the store and buy if you had saved up money.
