Outwardly, this car was no different from the standard one, but there were enough design changes in it. For example, the engine was derated to run on low-octane gasoline. There was a lot of this fuel on collective farms, unlike AI-93. Of course, the maximum speed of the car decreased, but this was not relevant for the countryside. There's still not much to accelerate on bad roads. The ground clearance has been increased, and the rear suspension has been strengthened.
