BV-206 "Moose" - a new life for old Swedish all-terrain vehicles

Soviet tracked all-terrain vehicles are good in all respects, but they are too large and "gluttonous". At one time, fuel consumption was not taken into account if the equipment completed its tasks 100%. And the fact that a trace remained is not a big deal - you can see where the geologists went. Abroad, they preferred small-sized equipment so that it would not damage the soil and consume less fuel. This is how the world-famous, but not in the Soviet Union, BV 206 snow and swamp vehicles appeared. The model debuted in 1974 and quickly became popular in Sweden, where it was invented, and then in other countries. The all-terrain vehicle looks ridiculous - like a trailer with a trailer. The most interesting thing is that the second part is also tracked, and not on skis or wheels. It is due to this that the manufacturer managed to achieve high cross-country ability. The trailer tracks have a cardan drive, so they are full-fledged.

And what about Russia? The fact is that in our country there are several companies involved in the conversion of old Swedish snow and swamp vehicles. After modernization, they are called BV-206 "Moose". The technique looks frankly toy. It seems that she is prone to overturning and, in general, does not inspire confidence in a harsh Russian who once tried out Soviet models. The authors of the Polygon-98 channel decided to test a couple of Elks. They are confident that Swedish technology is no worse than domestic, and even better.
