Landing gear replacement for Airbus A330 successfully completed in Russia for the first time

It became known that one of the largest aircraft maintenance organizations in Russia was the first to carry out a procedure for replacing landing gear in our country. It was performed on long-haul Airbus A330s. The need for these planned manipulations arose on three aircraft, which as a result received two new main and nose struts.


The work schedule was fully observed, it took two months to complete all the operations. In addition to the basic task, the state of the nodes was checked, and the necessary replacement of a number of parts.


Among other things, some of the elements were subjected to the application of a protective anti-corrosion coating. Based on the results of the verification of the measures taken, the regular operation of the landing gear was confirmed.

Recall that such a technical procedure is planned, and should take place every 10 years. Previously, it was carried out in foreign countries, but now it is being successfully mastered by domestic organizations providing aircraft maintenance services.
