Chopped minimalism - Kia showed electric SUV EV5

Kia has decided to treat the public with yet another electric concept, and this time it's the EV5. Yes, this is the younger version of the previously presented EV9 crossover. But it's not that simple. Here's how you like it - as much as 700 km of power reserve on a single battery charge and the option of a power plant for a summer residence?


The designers didn't bother: EV5 looks pretty much the same as EV9. Similar glazing and a plug in place of the radiator grille are complemented by the same invisible door handles with a retractable mechanism. The only changes are in the optics. If the headlights differ at their fingertips, then the taillights are strikingly different. Well, at least somewhere the designers "came off".


The salon meets the curious viewer with four separate seats, a steering wheel made under the helm and a widescreen touch screen. It combined multimedia and dashboard. Small gas and brake pedals modestly lay down under the angular console.

Keep in mind that this is just a concept. The serial version is on the way - they plan to show it in the summer.
