The new ADO Air is already on sale - the lightest and "smartest"

It's no secret that we've seen an incredible boom in sustainable, mobile and affordable cycling over the years. This direction has become especially relevant in the era of the pandemic. True, now, against the background of its gradual attenuation, there is a certain trend towards a decrease in demand in the field of urban micromobility. However, manufacturers involved in this area do not stop producing innovative and modern products.


It is this model that was introduced by the world-famous company for the production of bicycles equipped with an electric drive ADO Bikes, whose head office is based in China. ADO Air, according to the manufacturer, is the most convenient, light, agile and smart in the existing line of city electric bikes. This folding option will be indispensable for riders who do not have enough storage space. It is possible to lift and, if necessary, transfer the novelty literally with one hand, since its weight does not exceed 16 kg.


At the same time, this electric bike cannot be called something special. He, in principle, has all the standard features, including the ability to connect to applications. In this case, the emphasis was on value for money.

The Air comes with hydraulic disc brakes and a carbon belt drive that is guaranteed to be maintenance-free for 2 million cycles, which is roughly 25 to 30 miles. The version is equipped with a 9,6 Ah battery and a 250 W motor. In tandem, they provide good performance and a sufficient range - it is about 100 km on a single charge.


The new bike is currently the only representative in the world that is equipped with an IPS color digital display. This means that the information on the screen will be read in any conditions. It is not affected by direct sunlight or rain.

It cannot be said that it will be a cheap bike, since the announced recommended retail price is $ 2100, which is equivalent to 162 thousand rubles. But such a cost, perhaps, justifies both the level of performance and the technical characteristics of the Air.


In European countries, this model is already being delivered to retail stores and is available for purchase. Whether it will be available on our market, and whether users from the Russian Federation will show interest in the model, is still unknown.
