Sleipnir - a bus that doesn't need roads
The YouTube channel "AUTO REBEL" made a review of unusual equipment that you are unlikely to see on the roads of our country. This is a huge eight-wheeled bus, it overcomes both off-road conditions and loose snow on glaciers with equal ease.
The name "Sleipnir" is not accidental. That was the name of the eight-legged horse of Odin, distinguished by extraordinary strength and the ability to overcome any obstacles.
The bus operates in Iceland, takes tourists to the glacier in summer, and is used for scientific expeditions in winter. The production of one copy of this monstrous technique costs 35 million rubles.
The scale is impressive - the height is almost 5 meters, tires with a diameter of about 2 m. The interior is comfortable, while the model can drive almost everywhere. On the outside, in the ledge between the wheels, there is a large stove, on which it is easy to cook food for passengers. The model has been tested and is used for its intended purpose.
