New Russian Prado or Patriot-Isuzu?

Since 2018, Isuzu has been trying to create something together with the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. However things are still there. The Japanese came, got tax breaks, but there is still no new car. The UAZ people tried to independently implement their project "Russian Prado", but did not pull within their means. And now things got off the ground: a compromise was found - to assemble the Patriot based on the Isuzu MU-X.

The new UAZ is planned to be put on sale by 2023. As for the price, experts say about 1,7 million rubles, at least. The “consolation” is that there are no competitors similar to the new model for such money in the Russian Federation. The car is equipped with many options, but most of them will be available in expensive trim levels. This is done in order to reduce the cost of the "base".

What is attractive about the new Patriot, what will be in it from Isuzu, and what will remain from UAZ?
