It became known what will replace Michelin with MS-21

The head of the largest enterprise in the Russian Federation for the production of aircraft tires - YaShZ avia LLC, told TASS, at what stage is the solution to the issue of replacing imported tires on domestic passenger aircraft MS-21.


Considering the limited time frame in which it is necessary to invest in solving the tasks, there is absolutely no time for buildup. Therefore, at the production sites, the preparation of places is in full swing in anticipation of the supply of new machines, so that the production of such important components can be launched as soon as possible.

It is noteworthy that the equipment intended for the second, final stage of tire assembly was developed by the Omsk company Policon in just a few months. These machines are now at the stage of acceptance. It is known that the productivity of such a unit will be at the level of 8 units of finished products per hour.


The first prototypes of the main and nose tires should be ready in May. This will be followed by testing activities and directly the process of certification of aircraft tires. The issue is very responsible, so the exact timing of the launch of mass production of these components has not yet been named.
