How Japanese motorcycles appeared - a story from the very beginning
The Japanese motorcycle industry is considered the best in the world. It so happened historically that it is the models from the Land of the Rising Sun that are diverse. Of course, now China and India can and do lead in terms of the number of bikes produced. But do not forget that Japanese manufacturers assemble motorcycles not only in their own country, but also abroad. And the Chinese and Indians mainly produce small-capacity equipment. The Japanese have long been out of competition. But it was not always so. The heyday of the motorcycle industry in the Land of the Rising Sun began in the 70s. It was a sharp jump, after which American and European manufacturers immediately turned into laggards.

It is believed that the Japanese began to produce their motorcycles only in the second half of the 40s. They say that the people became poorer, they had to travel far to work, so they began to use bicycles with motors. It's true, there was such a thing, but in fact, tales in the Land of the Rising Sun appeared much earlier. Of course, they are far from the USA and Europe, but local companies made motorcycles, and even heavy models for the army. They just rarely came across, and indeed, pre-war Japan was considered a fairly closed country. But the level of development was high. The local intelligentsia has long been studying at leading European universities. In general, the author of the KrasMoto channel needs to be thanked for enlightenment.
