Boeing 747 Dreamlifter - inside the largest aircraft in the world

The wide-body giant is 71,68 m long, its wings spread 64,4 m and even when empty it weighs 180 tons. More than 36 adult elephants! This power gracefully soars into the sky and hovers like a feather under the control of just two crew members.
The Boeing 747 Dreamlifter, as the name implies, is a plump Boeing 747. The project was created for the sole purpose of air transportation of Boeing 787 aircraft components. The giant is more surprising not even in the air, but on the ground during loading and unloading operations. Its tail is moved to the side, revealing a transport compartment with a volume of 1840 cubic meters. The impressive "hump" of the extended fuselage does not in the least interfere with flying and developing a cruising speed of 878 km / h. It can break away from the strip altogether with a mass of 364 tons - this is twice the dry weight.
