Wuling introduces the No. 1 Serpol motorcycle to the domestic market - it is almost an exact copy of Honda

The Chinese brand Wuling, known primarily for small compact electric cars, offers residents of China to buy a new motorcycle. Experienced bikers will immediately notice that this is a very accurate copy of the Honda Rebel 500.


The Chinese were not just inspired by the design of the Japanese motorcycle, but accurately copied the appearance. Of the new here, only the fairing and wheels. They, unlike the "ancestor", are equipped with tubeless tires and spoked rims.

Another interesting detail: Serpol No. 1 is equipped with an engine that is almost identical to the original Honda engine. In this, Wuling wins over the many copycat brands that do not venture beyond the Chinese domestic market.

A 494cc Loncin in-line twin is installed here. This is a licensed copy of the Japanese unit, “lit up” in Voge motorcycles. Maximum power - 54 liters. s., since within the country the Chinese do not need to follow the external restrictions of the category.


The start of sales is scheduled for this month. But only in China, Wuling has no plans to introduce the motorcycle overseas. The price in yuan is also not named.
