Presented the record holder among eVTOLs for flight duration

Autoflight unveiled the 4th generation Prosperity I eVTOL full-size air taxi prototype. The new development has shown the best result in overcoming distances on a single charge in the history of modern electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.


It is noteworthy that this aircraft is equipped with an airframe that is noticeably different from those that this manufacturer has previously demonstrated.

Older prototypes were fitted with eight lift screws along a pair of rails and two pushers mounted at their rear. At the same time, in the new version there are already four such guides, and ten screws. In addition to the rail pushers, another one was added at the rear of the cab. Also in the new eVTOL, the cockpit has received significantly larger dimensions and the wing thickness has been increased.


As a result, the joint German-Chinese brainchild was able to set a new record with a range indicator of 250,3 km. This is despite the fact that the design of the Autoflight Gen-4 Prosperity is a bit simplistic and loses some efficiency due to the lack of angled propellers.
