G90 on a low start - Genesis showed pictures of the updated sedan

First time Korean car luxury class was introduced in 2016, and in 2018 the manufacturer presented a restyled version. Now the public is eagerly awaiting a generational change, and Genesis is warming up car enthusiasts by showing photos of the updated G90.


Already today we can assume that the ambitious plans of the brand will come true. After all, the manufacturer confidently declares its intention to expand its presence in the market, including the conquest of Europe. By the way, the flagship was tested in Germany, which already suggested a European launch.

New exterior

The designers have worked hard on the appearance of the car, managing to maintain a single style characteristic of the Genesis, emphasizing the elegance of the sedan.

In addition to these changes, the Koreans have worked on the doors, rear pillars and fenders, changed the trunk lid. Many joints and gaps are gone, so the image as a whole has become even more harmonious and balanced. The interior remains to be guessed and to assume how much it will change.



The manufacturer does not disclose the technical capabilities. Recall that today the G80 and GV80 are equipped with a 207-horsepower 2.2-liter gasoline engine or a 300-liter turbocharged diesel engine. With. Perhaps the updated sedan will receive the same motors.



However, for the American market, the brand supplies the Genesis G90 with a gasoline turbocharged V6 engine that already produces 375 horsepower. It is possible that the new generation will be equipped with such a motor not only for buyers from the United States.

When can we expect the second generation of the G90?

Today it is known for sure that the brand will hold the premiere of a sedan in a new version in December 2021. Then details about the equipment and technical characteristics of the car will be announced. From the end of this year, orders will begin to be accepted, but so far only in South Korea.



Buyers from other countries will have to wait a little longer or import the car into the country on their own. Exact dates and prices for the new sedan will be announced later.
