The manufacturer has updated the Kia Niro beyond recognition - Europe will see the crossover in 2022

For the first time Kia Niro was presented to the public five years ago, having managed to win over buyers. And so the manufacturer decided to surprise motorists by radically transforming the compact crossover. If in the previous version the style characteristic of the South Korean automaker was clearly read, now the car will look ultra-modern and extravagant. The innovations do not end there: the company promises to launch not only an updated hybrid model, but also a full-fledged electric car and Plug-in-Hybrid.

Exterior and interior

When designing the new Kia Niro, the company was inspired by its own “Opposites United” philosophy, drawing inspiration from nature. The result of the work exceeded the wildest expectations.

✅ The emphasis on aerodynamics is obvious – streamlined car demonstrates a goal-oriented character
✅ Expressive grille gives a share of aggressiveness
✅ C-pillars have become much wider, and vertically elongated boomerang taillights complete the image

Inside the crossover there will now be two screens, one of which is located at an angle to the driver. The first behind the wheel is for navigation, the second is for infotainment.



The highlight of the interior is spectacular decorative lighting. It fills the space between the infotainment screen and the ventilation hole on the right.



The updated Kia Niro will have a gearshift washer in all three versions.

Sustainability is on trend

Today, self-respecting automakers are zealously demonstrating their love for nature by using resource-saving solutions. And the South Korean concern is no exception. The presentation of Kia Niro also emphasized the use of environmentally friendly materials.

? The ceiling will be finished with panels for the manufacture of which use recycled wallpaper
? The seats are upholstered in material obtained from eucalyptus leaves.
? To the maximum, paint without components that pollute the environment will be used



The company is still carefully hiding the technical information about the car. Nothing is known about the timing of the release of Kia Niro in the new version, as well as approximate prices. Presumably, European buyers will be able to order a crossover no earlier than mid-2022.
