Audi A6: sedan will be next in line for restyling

Not so long ago, a fresh batch of pictures appeared, which depicted the Audi A6 sedan in camouflage during the next test on the track. These are the first photographs that allow, albeit not in very detail, to still consider the updated sedan even under a camouflage net. As you know, the manufacturer took up its modernization immediately after the completion of work on the Audi A8.




Most car in the pictures is covered with camouflage, so a significant part of the upcoming changes still remained hidden from the eyes of curious photographers. However, by where exactly the camouflage is located, you can guess which body parts will undergo changes. In this case, these are the front and rear panels. It can already be concluded that the A6 model expects much less noticeable adjustments to the appearance than its "big brother" in the face of the A8, the redesign of which can in no way be called radical. Fans can not count on strong changes.

It is likely that the headlights of the A6 sedan will retain their original shape, but according to unofficial information, their appearance should change somewhat. The front end is likely to receive a modified grille, redesigned air intakes and a bumper. Even less noticeable improvements await the rear panel of the car. Despite the fact that this part of the car is generously covered with masking film, restyling will only affect the bumper and taillight graphics. It should also be taken into account that the photographs show the S-Line version, a sporty version of the Audi A6 sedan.

As for internal changes, many fans of the brand and experts on thematic forums agreed that only the infotainment system, namely its display, will be restyled from the entire cabin. Otherwise, everything will be the same as in the previous version.



It would seem that, given minor adjustments in the design, Audi could make several changes to the engine lineup. However, you won’t have to expect any revelations during the debut of the model, and most likely, the series of available engines will be completely taken from its predecessor.

Plans have been announced that the updated Audi A6 will debut in 2022, and as a production model will appear only in 2023. Audi may have a plethora of new bumper designs in store for the refreshed model, so we'll be keeping an eye out for future spy shots that show trim on the standard version rather than the sporty S-Line variant.
