
2022 Kia Niro Announced Ahead Of November 25 Premiere
Photos and some details about the 2022 Kia Niro electric crossover have officially become known. The second generation of the "green" car will be presented in Seoul at the local auto show in a few days, namely on November 25. Although the teasers do not allow us to examine the new product in detail, some interesting details about it can already be discussed.

It is known for sure that the new crossover almost completely repeats the original concept of the Kia HabaNiro 2019 model year. At the same time, it has some details from the demo shown at the New York Auto Show. For example, in the novelty you will not see scissor doors, but you will find rear ones. LED running lights are similar to those seen on the original concept. The same goes for the boomerang-shaped rear lights. As for the additions, there are headlights in the roof pillars and a slightly larger rear spoiler.

If the exterior of the electric crossover is almost the same as the concept, the interior has undergone much more serious changes. While the instrument cluster display and infotainment touchscreen used to be separate, they are now combined into one large display. The automatic transmission control joystick has become round in shape and has received a backlight that succinctly distinguishes it from the background of the center console. The current trend of installing a "steering wheel" instead of a round steering wheel in EV cars has bypassed the model, and perhaps this is even for the better.

There are practically no physical buttons in the cabin - the control is tied to touch keys. All the information the driver needs is displayed on the projection screen right in front of his eyes. This is an interesting solution that is designed to increase not only comfort, but also driving safety.
The 2022 Niro will be unveiled a week after the premiere of another interesting concept, the EV9, which we wrote about earlier. The new electric crossover will likely be the largest electric car from the South Korean manufacturer. It will be a great alternative for those who want an affordable electric car compared to cars on the E-GMP platform, and at the same time have the ability to choose the desired option: a regular or plug-in hybrid, or a 100% electric car. The price of the 2022 Niro is unknown, as is the start date of production.
