Mercedes-Benz V-Class, Vito and Marco Polo with updated engines will enter the Russian market from January 2022

The press service of Mercedes-Benz Rus published the news that from the beginning of 2022 it will be possible to buy popular German brand minivans with updated engines in Russia. The improvement of the Mercedes-Benz V-Class, Vito and Marco Polo models was not limited to this: we tell you in detail about all the improvements.

What's under the hood?

The automaker launches minivans with an engine with the OM654 index. This is a diesel unit with four cylinders, which are protected by Nanoslide material from premature abrasion.



For Vito, modifications are available from 75 to 174 kW, for V-Class - from 120 to 174 kW.

The updated cars will be equipped with a 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter. Instead of the usual suspension with springs - pneumatic Airmatic. The height of the body is automatically adjusted taking into account the mode of movement, the level of loading of the car, therefore stability of the course and maximum comfort are guaranteed.

Exterior and interior

The company has modified the hulls to improve aerodynamics in response to increased environmental requirements. Transport after switching to the Euro 6d standard. This was immediately reflected in the exterior: in particular, the rear bumper changed, and panels appeared that completely hide the bottom.



The concern has thoroughly worked on the V-Class series, modernizing the interior of the long and extra-long versions for greater convenience:

Purely visually, luxury car interiors have acquired an even more pronounced modern style thanks to lighting and chrome-plated decorative elements. The seats in minivans are upholstered in this class of Nappa leather. The cost of the updated Mercedes-Benz V-Class starts from 7 million rubles.



Although Vito is more considered a "workhorse", now it has a pronounced style and character, and it has become much more comfortable inside. The characteristic grille, which indicates the dynamism of the model, gave new features to the exterior.



Cargo vans can be bought at a price of 2.9 million, and passenger vans - from 3.4 million rubles.

The updated Marco Polo, even in its standard configuration, has received the justified status of a premium camper. Cost car with a variety of camping equipment, high-tech and ergonomic interior, a full set of systems and safety equipment will cost from 6 million in domestic currency.
