Should we expect an increase in prices for Lada Grant?

AvtoVAZ resumed production on Monday cars, but the Lada Granta conveyor is still idle. There is information that the situation will definitely not change on November 15 and 16, and it is quite possible that it will not change until the end of the week either.

Official representatives of AvtoVAZ do not comment on the circumstances in detail. The only thing that was announced was global problems with the supply of electronic chips and components.

The lack of the necessary components in the warehouses caused a complete halt in the production of cars in Togliatti last Friday. Today the conveyors have started.

Lada Granta, as the cheapest car in the range, makes less profit, therefore, in the face of a lack of electronic components, cars will not be produced. Official representatives of AvtoVAZ did not talk about this, but everything is logical - the more expensive the model, the greater the profit from its sale.

It is not worth blaming the manufacturer for deliberately slowing down the production of LADA Granta - there are such problems with the lack of automotive electronics all over the world. It is not known how long the Grants conveyor will stay idle. Experts say that this situation will normalize at best by mid-2022.

It is quite possible that this is an agreement between large intermediaries in the field of electronic chips - they decided to buy up components, provoking an artificial shortage and increased demand. Naturally, in such a situation, you can significantly increase prices.

Does this mean that Lada Granta will soon rise in price? Quite possible! So if you wanted to buy such a car, it's time to do it right now!

AvtoVAZ is optimistic. It is reported that the production of cars will go according to plan and a simple assembly line will not affect this. When the situation with electronics normalizes, production volumes will increase by increasing the working week to 6 days. In addition, shifts at the plant are planned to be 9-hour.

The only question is the components supplied by Robert Bosch Samara. Official representatives of Bosch cannot yet say exactly when they will be able to meet the demand of AvtoVAZ by 100%.

The situation with the lack of electronics has seriously affected the production of new LADA cars. At the same time, sales in the first 10 months of 2021 increased by 11% compared to the same period in 2020.

The shortage of electronic components for AvtoVAZ has become a serious problem that could ruin annual sales figures. Despite this, the manufacturer is confident that the situation will return to normal soon.
