Great Wall filed a patent for the Tank 800 in Russia

Information about the registration of the flagship of the Tank series, model 800, has been added to the FIPS database. Official images and some characteristics have been published. It is difficult to predict the timing of the appearance, since this modification has not yet begun to be sold even in China.

General information

The Great Wall Tank 800 was first presented at the Shanghai Auto Show in the spring of 2021. Since then, there has been no news about the new product. But judging by the patent registration, the manufacturer plans to begin assembly before the end of 2022. Today, final preparations are underway for the launch car in series.



This is a full-size frame SUV, developed by engineers for about 3 years. In appearance, you can find similarities with some Rolls-Royce and Range Rover models, but company representatives say that the exterior was made from scratch by their own design department.

This modification has a common platform with the Great Wall X Cannon model. There is a certain similarity in the front - a large hood, a huge grille and square optics. The use of a finished frame will simplify production.

Technical features

A six-cylinder turbocharged engine with combined injection was used as a standard power unit. The system has a starter-generator with a voltage of 48V. The power unit produces more than 350 hp. With. and 500 N * m of torque. The car has permanent all-wheel drive and a nine-band automatic transmission.



With a length of over 5 meters, the car is positioned as a competitor to Japanese premium SUVs. The two-tone Mercedes-Maybach GLS-style paintwork gives the car a stylish look.

The radiator grille with vertical slats and a massive chrome frame goes well with square block headlights and a strict bumper. The rear end, with unusual taillights and TANK lettering, is understated. The profile and proportions can be called classic for a full-size frame SUV.



The car is equipped with all security systems, premium quality materials are used for interior trim. The digital instrument panel and the floating touchscreen in the middle are designed specifically for this model.

There is no data on the cost yet, but most likely it will be an expensive car with the appropriate workmanship. Information about the start of release should be expected in the summer of 2022.
