Winnebago breaks revenue growth records

Winnebago, one of the largest RV manufacturers, recently celebrated its 500th anniversary. car, rolled off the assembly line. It is already clear that another 600 milestone is just around the corner. The Minnesota-based car manufacturer has published its financial report for the second quarter of 2022. According to its results, revenue for this period increased by $1,2 billion, which amounted to a phenomenal increase of 29% for this industry.


In itself, such an increase in revenues, given the difficult economic and logistical situation around the world, is surprising, but there is more shocking news. Thus, the company has outstanding orders worth $4,37 billion. This includes all requests received from dealers, which, according to the agreements, must be completed within the next 6 months. At the same time, such orders may be postponed indefinitely or cancelled. However, if all goes well, the company's revenue will multiply in the near future.



The $4,37 billion debt is most impacted by vans. Now deliveries are expected in the amount of at least 2,21 billion USD. Another $1,87 billion is towed motorhomes and the remaining $278 million is offshore. Winnebago expects its towed residential portfolio to recover relatively quickly, but the same cannot be said for more specific motorized residential homes and boats, where supply chain disruptions continue to weigh on sales.

There is also some positive news for Winnebago. So, in the second quarter of 2022, the manufacturer's revenue increased significantly in all areas without exception compared to the same period, but in 2021. For example, an additional 1786 towed motorhomes and 54 more motorhomes of all classes combined with Class B motorhomes were delivered to customers, an increase of 15,6%.



Today, Winnebago offers a range of more than 24 models, ranging from RVs to towed motorhomes. The former are distinguished by the fact that they can move independently, and therefore are often sold more expensively. For the production of its cars, the company also uses ready-made models, for example, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, on the basis of which the mass production of the Era 4x4 van is organized.
