Updated version of Renault Yi electric car released

Official representatives of the French company recently announced the launch of a modified version of the Renault Yi electric car. In total, it is planned to release four versions of the model. Technically, the car has not undergone major changes, but the appearance has been corrected.


When looking at car it becomes clear that the main features have remained untouched. The head optics still look like a halberd, the lights on the "stern" have a sharp transition and branch at the ends. The wheel disks are silver, the calipers can be painted red. The new model received a wider body, and, as a result, a spacious interior, as fans of the model wanted. The new dimensions in length, width and height are 4,675, 1,835, 1,48 m. The wheelbase is 2,74 m.



The interior of the previous model is not much different. The interior is dominated by black, diluted with blue decorative elements. An optional interior variant with red inserts and carbon fiber imitation can be offered. The instrument panel and multimedia display are combined into one trapezoidal unit. Outwardly, this gives the car manufacturability, modernity. The steering wheel is multifunctional, double spokes are decorated with chrome parts.



The car is equipped with a power unit with a capacity of 149 "horses" with a torque of up to 225 N * m. There is also a variant with all-wheel drive and two electric motors. In this case, the power of the Renault Yi is increased to 231 hp. s., and the torque is 395 N * m. Acceleration of the all-wheel drive model to 100 km / h takes 5,8 seconds. Nothing is said about the capabilities of the battery in the official message. However, it should be assumed that the characteristics will not differ much from the previous model. The version of the car with one electric motor has a cruising range of 500 km, with two motors - 450 km.

The time it takes to charge the battery from 0 to 100% will take eight to ten hours. However, from 30% to 80%, the battery capacity can be replenished in 30 minutes. Buyers are offered:

The model is produced at a subsidiary in China. It is assumed that the electric car will be in demand as a taxi. The estimated cost depends on the configuration and is in the range of 1,8 million - 2,5 million rubles in terms of Russian money. The closest competitors of the novelty are Xpeng P5, Gac Anion S Plus.
