Since April 1, the coefficients of tariffs for OSAGO have changed - what drivers think

The bonus-malus odds (BMF) have been changed. Now drivers without accidents receive an increased discount. And those who often become the culprit of an accident, on the contrary, will pay much more.

If earlier for those who had no accidents for 10 years or more, a coefficient of 0,5 was applied, now it has become 0,46. And if the driver had an accident through his own fault three times in the last year, instead of a coefficient of 2,35, an indicator of 3,92 is used. Moreover, situations are taken into account when a person has an accident with a policy without limiting the number of drivers.

The OSAGO Law provides for the possibility of changing tariffs no more than once a year. In the current realities, when spare parts become very expensive and tariffs cannot cover payments, a decision was made to change the indicators according to the situation. The central bank can make adjustments if prices for parts and repairs go up. According to experts of the Central Bank, this will improve the situation for insurance companies. What do drivers think?

Strange justification - spare parts have risen in price. I've been driving without accidents for 20 years, why should I pay more because of reckless drivers and those who breed insurance companies for money? It is necessary to give OSAGO without payment to those who do not get into an accident. Or at least leave it unchanged. And for those who do not know how to drive normally, let them raise the payment.

I haven't had a single accident since 2006. And insurers use the maximum base rate. Where are their reductions and savings? On paper, everything is beautiful and fair, but in fact they take into account a bunch of incomprehensible moments. They only think how to get more money from the driver.

Sergey Albertovich said

It's all lies about the economy. Discounts for KBM on paper have been reduced. But due to the sharp increase in the base rate, everyone pays more than before. Even if there were no accidents for 20 years. Policies have risen in price and this is a fact.

It seems to me that all the changes are aimed at ensuring that insurers earn as much as possible. Not good for them, you see. For some reason, none of the insurance companies are closed now. When they come up with something that will benefit people.

They added a ridiculous discount of three hundredths of a percent, while increasing the base rates. Everyone overpays. And if over the past 10 years you were to blame even for a minor accident, get a coefficient of 1. And they pay at lower prices, they think that there is not enough for repairs.
