Geely officially presented Emgrand L

The Chinese auto giant introduced a new modification, the appearance of which was announced a few months ago. Images of the final version, which is planned to be put into production by the end of June 2022, have been released. According to the company, this is a modern sedan with high-quality interior trim and a hybrid powertrain that will be a worthy competitor to most alternatives on the market.

Of interest is the fact that the design work was carried out jointly with Volvo engineers. This made it possible to introduce a number of solutions uncharacteristic for the Chinese automotive industry, to achieve increased comfort and improved safety performance. The machine meets the most modern quality standards.



The basis is the BMA platform, developed specifically for hybrids cars and has proven itself well. Most of the technical solutions are still kept secret. But according to information from the developers, the car will be an order of magnitude better than previous generations and marks the entry to a new level.

Technical features

Data on the characteristics and power of gasoline and electric units is still unknown. But judging by the acceleration time to 100 km / h, which is 6,9 seconds, everything will be in order with the dynamics of the car. The total range will be 1300 km, which also meets the highest standards. But the main advantage, on which special attention is focused, is fuel consumption of 3,8 liters per 100 kilometers. This will not only reduce operating costs, but also ensure minimal environmental impact.



There is no information on the design of the interior yet. It is known that a “floating” touchscreen will be located in the center, and the diagonal of the digital instrument panel is 10,25 inches. For decoration, wear-resistant materials were used, the style will change slightly, the emphasis is on ergonomics and comfort for the driver and passengers.

The cost of new items has not yet been announced. It will be known on the day of the start of sales, which are planned to be launched within 3 months, if the remaining tests and approval of the documentation pass without deviation from the schedule. The first months the car will be available to customers in China, but by the end of 2022 it is planned to begin deliveries to dealers in Europe and Asia.
