Yamaha MT-09 Cyber ​​Rally officially unveiled

Yamaha, in collaboration with Y'S Gear, has officially unveiled the MT-09 Cyber ​​Rally. The new motorcycle It only differs in appearance from the production version, but it looks much more stylish.


Recently, a specialized exhibition of motor vehicles has opened in the Japanese city of Osaka, where Yamaha engineers showed the public a limited version of the MT-09 model with the Cyber ​​Rally prefix. No, this is not a Soviet Dnepr, but a motorcycle in the street fighter class, modified to look like cyberpunk.

Despite its new look, the bike is a standard Yamaha MT-09 in a specific body kit for 336 rubles in translation at the official Japanese yen rate plus the price of the standard version.



Cyber ​​Rally is a development of the Street Rally series, the creators are clearly inspired by the cyberpunk style. The motorcycle in body kit looks predatory and aggressive. Although the standard Yamaha MT-09 never looked like a “sheep”, the new modification looks like a predatory beast, which is scary to approach even in a cage.

It is simply impossible to ride this motorcycle calmly - you want to unscrew the throttle handle to failure, and rush forward, despising the dangers. But this is the paradox of the street fighter class - they are not intended for the track - the lack of wind protection affects. And in the city, reckless driving is more expensive for yourself, but the motorcycle simply provokes such behavior.

Yamaha MT-09 Cyber ​​Rally turned out to be even more “naked” than the base model. The new front fairing looks more like a headlight housing. Hand protection is made in the form of wings, although it is more of a decorative function.



The radiator is covered with special shrouds with slots resembling shark gills. The seat of the motorcycle is single, but comfortable. The exhaust pipe was also worked on, making it longer and thicker by installing a nozzle.



The engine of the bike is standard for this model - a three-cylinder engine with a displacement of 889 cm3, which develops about 120 hp. With. The inline triple received a balancer shaft, although the vibrations are less annoying here than in the V-twin. The main advantage of the engine is traction at medium speeds, which are needed in city traffic in order to accelerate sharply.

The Yamaha MT-09 Cyber ​​Rally is an interesting bike with its own wild charisma. Unfortunately, it will only be offered in Japan.
