Chery has patented the exterior of Arrizo 5 Plus in Russia

The press service of the Chinese concern Chery announced that they have officially filed a patent in Russia for the design of their car Arrizo 5 Plus. Now photos, drawings, data on the dimensions of the vehicle can be seen on the website of the FIPS Institute in free access.


This decision of the Chinese does not yet mean that the crossover will be sold in Russia. However, several cars have already arrived in the country at the beginning of the year, as experts suggest, for certification tests. Therefore, the likelihood that Arrizo 5 Plus will appear on the Russian market is quite high. The car is positioned by the concern as a new car that has undergone significant modernization. It is assumed that the novelty will compete with Kia Cerato, Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra. Compared to the latest model, the Chinese car is slightly larger in all respects.



The length, width and height of the Arrizo 5 Plus are 4,68m, 1,82m and 1,49m respectively. The debut of the car took place in China at the end of 2020. In the domestic market, the model is sold in two versions:

• ✅ with a naturally aspirated engine of 1,5 liters and a power of 116 liters. With. and five-speed manual transmission
  
• ✅ with a turbocharged engine of the same one and a half liters in volume, issuing 156 “horses” and a CVT transmission
  

The price, respectively, will be in the range from 1,1 to 1,6 million rubles.



In the images that are drawn in the patent, the car has a trapezoid-shaped radiator grille along which longitudinal slats run. "Feed" is equipped with LED optics, which is a continuous horizontal strip across the entire width of the luggage compartment. In the basic version:

The car is equipped with a multimedia system with a 10,25 ”display equipped with a touchscreen. There may be two or four speakers. The Enjoy package additionally includes:

• ✅ power driver's seat
  
• ✅ LED head optics
  
• ✅ airflow deflectors for rear passengers
  
• ✅ side airbags (in the basic version - only frontal)
  

There are even more “bells and whistles” in the Smart package. Despite the fact that the car has every chance to enter the Russian market, this model is not yet on the list of brands that are scheduled to premiere in Russia this year.
