Mitsubishi Outlander Black Edition 2022 will receive a new design

Mitsubishi introduced a new generation of the Outlander SUV last year, and now we can see how the model gets a brutal design package. You don't even have to wait for it - the add-on is available for purchase and includes a large number of visual and other changes with an emphasis on black.


In this version, the crossover is distinguished by dark front and rear bumpers, the same door handles and side mirrors. All this organically looks against the background of new discs with a diameter of 20 inches. Minor, but noticeable changes have also been made to the interior - the interior received a headlining and black pillars.



An upgrade package for the 2022 Outlander Black Edition complements the SE package, including dual-zone climate control and an electric panoramic sunroof.

Let's touch on the technical part. Here we have a 181 hp petrol engine. With. with a volume of 2,5 liters and a torque of 245 N * m. The motor is paired with a continuously variable transmission. The company says the Black Edition is also available in all-wheel drive, a good option if you want to get out of town and away from good roads.

The new Outlander crossover is in many ways similar to the 2021 Nissan Rogue. Here you don’t even have to look closely to notice the similarities in terms of transmission and interior. It is worth paying tribute - the design of the novelty is still unique, with the exception of common points that involuntarily intersect with solutions from other manufacturers.

Engineers from Mitsubishi have created the 2022 Outlander version based on the previously presented Engelberg Tourer concept. Of course, before being released into the series, the project was edited towards a more “soft” design, so as not to scare away a particularly impressionable audience. The options remain untouched. Of particular interest is the 12,3-inch digital instrument cluster, next to which is an even larger infotainment display.



The 2022 Outlander Black Edition starts at $31. The all-wheel-drive black package starts at the higher $240 mark. For an additional USD 33, the buyer can choose one of three unique body colors, which received simple, but reflect the essence of the name - red, white and black diamonds.
